Scooter’s Big Day Is Finally Here! 🐈

After spending time with us at Meownistry, Scooter is finally preparing for his next chapter.  He will officially be going home tonight!

It’s always a mix of emotions whenever one of our residents gets adopted. We’re beyond happy knowing Scooter found someone ready to love and care for him, but at the same time, it’s hard not to get emotional watching him prepare to leave the space he’s become familiar with.

Over the past few weeks, Scooter has slowly shown more of his personality to both the staff and visitors. Whether it was his adorable moments, his curious little expressions, his clingy meows, or simply his presence around Meownistry, he became someone many people looked forward to seeing.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who spent time with Scooter during his stay here. Every interaction helped him become more comfortable and confident before heading into his forever home.

Garnet’s Unexpected Dental Adventure 🦷🐈

Garnet had a little dental procedure last week after one of her teeth unexpectedly broke off. 

At first, the tooth seemed to have fallen out surprisingly cleanly on its own, but after bringing her in for a dental check-up, the vet found that the other half of the tooth was still stuck inside her gums. To prevent discomfort and future issues, the remaining piece was removed and the area was stitched up properly.

The good news: the rest of Garnet’s teeth are apparently still healthy!

She’s currently recovering well and will be staying in the guest room for a little while so it’s easier for us to monitor her and give her medication. 

Looking back now, this might also explain why Garnet wasn’t very interested in food recently. Hopefully, with the troublesome tooth finally gone, she’ll feel much more comfortable eating again soon.

Didi & Miumiu’s Adoption Day Is Coming 🏡🐾

Another bittersweet update for this month: Didi and Miumiu are scheduled to go home on 23 May!

Watching both of them slowly open up during their time at Meownistry has honestly been very rewarding for all of us. Each cat adjusts differently to new environments, and seeing their personalities grow little by little is always something special to witness.

Miumiu especially has come such a long way from when she first arrived. Meanwhile, Didi has continued charming everyone around him in his own unique way. Over time, they both became familiar faces to our staff, volunteers, and regular visitors.

As excited as we are for them to begin this new chapter, there’s definitely going to be an emotional atmosphere around Meownistry when the day finally comes. Saying goodbye never gets easier, especially after spending so much time caring for them and watching their progress firsthand.

We’re incredibly thankful to everyone who showed Didi and Miumiu love during their stay with us. Every visit, interaction, and quiet moment of patience helped them become more comfortable before finding their forever homes. Come visit them before they go to their forever home!
